Introducing 5 Exciting New Updates to LogiSense Billing: Streamline Your B2B SaaS, IoT, and Communications Billing (Spring/2022)

RELEASE
Cambridge, Canada, JUNE 15, 2022

At LogiSense, we're dedicated to building the best billing platform for B2B SaaS, IoT, and Communications industries. Today, we're thrilled to announce 5 new updates to LogiSense Billing that enhance the user experience and streamline the billing process:

  1. Money Buckets
  2. Usage API
  3. Webhook and Event Monitoring and Management
  4. Data Archival Process
  5. Reporting Scheduling, Deliver and Export settings

These improvements are designed to simplify usage-based services, optimize data processing, and provide greater control and visibility for our users.

Money Buckets

LogiSense's Money Buckets simplify selling usage-based services by offering a predefined dollar amount that customers can allocate toward one or more types of usage events. This feature is especially beneficial for Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and SaaS providers with multiple product offerings, enabling a more open mechanism to secure a firm commitment on usage volume.

This new feature enables a more versatile and efficient way to manage usage across different zones and rates. It also allows for the prioritization of services to charge when premium and regular services overlap.

In addition, customers can receive real-time notifications about their usage consumption levels, monitoring their spending against their allocated usage budget. With the ability to easily assign money buckets in any currency without creating separate rules, money buckets make it easy to manage usage and billing needs.

Usage API

With the Usage API update, not only can you process high volume usage data files, but you can also conveniently send data via LogiSense's Usage API in real-time or batched formats. This feature makes processing and charging usage-based services more efficient for SaaS and IoT companies. LogiSense's API-first platform enables sending data as individual events or batched events, allowing for seamless processing through our existing mediation and rating systems.

Our Usage API not only accepts JSON, XML, CSV, and Columnar data formats but also transforms and mediates data according to Data Profile mapping for optimal processing. By standardizing imports and tracking them in batches, LogiSense's Usage API simplifies the data import history and exception handling, ultimately expanding our market reach for Rating and Mediation Services.

Webhook and Event Monitoring and Management

The new Webhook Monitor Screen provides increased visibility and control over webhook requests, enabling users to diagnose issues and resend failed requests without relying on support teams. It offers our users an enhanced diagnostics experience for Operations and IT users of our system.

Previously, users did not have a visual interface to verify if their webhooks were sent successfully or to view details of failed requests. The new Webhook monitor screen allows users to view all webhook requests sent from the system, with information such as the resolved token data, date/time sent, and status (sent or failed). Additionally, users can retry sending failed webhooks and purge webhook history older than three months, providing an efficient and streamlined experience.

Data Archival Process:

LogiSense's Data Archival Process allows users to configure automatic archival and purging of specific data sets on a regular schedule, reducing the size of the production database and improving system performance. The archived data is conveniently stored in an S3 bucket, and users can easily export it on a schedule without relying on our support or engineering teams. This archival process allows companies to export data to their own data or big data systems such as Snowflake.

The new service runs as part of our existing services model, making it easy to configure and schedule. Users can track the results of each Archive Service Job, including total records purged, total archived, and any errors, with the option to download the archived file per service job. We believe this new feature will make data management easier and more efficient for our users, giving them more control over their system and reducing their reliance on our support teams.

Reporting Scheduling, Deliver and Export settings

Our latest update expands report delivery options, enabling users to generate and store PDFs in our S3 bucket, email invoice reports directly to end customers, and move Invoices, Credit Notes, and Templates to S3 for more efficient storage and access. Additionally, the UI has been updated to reference "View" instead of "Download" for a more intuitive browsing experience.

The new feature also includes support for SFTP reports to an external location, generating reports when specific events are triggered, and emailing scheduled reports directly to LogiSense users. These enhancements cater to various scenarios, such as dropping files in accessible locations for customer retrieval and sending specific exports to customer endpoints. With this update, LogiSense Billing streamlines report delivery and offers a more versatile platform for our customers.

LogiSense is committed to providing our customers with the most efficient and versatile platform possible. These updates to LogiSense Billing reflect our dedication to continuous improvement and empowering our users with greater control, visibility, and simplicity in their billing and usage-based services.
